Sweet It Up Materials

Gather Materials

Clear Water Bottle with Lid
Glitter Glue
Glitter
Hot Water
Large Bowl
Whisk
Funnel
Superglue or hot glue
Liquid Food Coloring (Optional)

Sweep It Up - Step 1

Step 1

Pour approximately 4-5 oz. of glitter glue into your large bowl.

Step 2

Fill your clear plastic bottle half way with hot water. Add this hot water to the bowl of glitter glue.

Step 3

Use your whisk to thoroughly mix the glitter glue and water together. Once it is all mixed, use a funnel to pour it all into your bottle.

Add more water as needed, leaving enough space for shaking (about an inch). Then screw on the cap and give it a good shake!

If the glitter falls faster than you’d like, add a bit more glitter.

Step 5

Once you are happy with the results, use a bit of hot glue, or super glue to secure the lid in place.

Infants
1-year-old
  • Shows fear in some situations
  • Puts things in a container, takes things out of a container
  • Looks at the right picture or thing when it’s named
Toddlers
18-months-old
  • Explores alone but with parent close by
  • Can follow 1-step verbal commands without any gestures
  • Drinks from a cup
Preschoolers
2-years-old
  • Shows more and more independence
  • Knows names of familiar people and body parts
  • Might use one hand more than the other
