What You'll Need
Gallon Resealable Bags (2)
Sponges of different shapes/sizes
Jumbo buttons
Duct tape
Tray (e.g., cookie sheet)
Optional: Objects that float
Make Your Pat Mat
- Fill one resealable bag half way with water
- Drop in sponges or other easy to see objects that float
- Seal and tape the bag
- Place the taped bag into the second bag
- Seal and tape the second bag
- Place the bag on the tray

- Tape mat to wall or window for a different sensory experience

- Cooked pasta
- Shaving or whipped cream with two drops of food coloring
Using Brain Power
Rainbow Spaghetti Experience
Make spaghetti as directed on packaging. After cooled, separate into bowls for each color desired. Add a very small amount of oil and toss. Add a few drops of food coloring and mix well. Lay spaghetti out on parchment paper to dry for about an hour. Then place in tub for sensory play. (Place a table cloth under tub for easy clean up)
